Carpenter, Shirley M., 75, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents. Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora. Survivors include, husband, Mark P. Carpenter; daughter, Tamie Meyers Pina (Mike) of Pratt,; sons, Brent Meyers (Brenda) of Lawrence, Brad Meyers of Topeka, Michael Meyers of Wichita; sisters: Joanne Lowrey, Mary Witty of Bartlesville, Frances Lucas of Salisaw, OK, Eva Lou Perryman of Tulsa; grandchildren; Joey Pina, Megan Meyers of Pratt, Nick Pina (Katie) of Wichita, Austin Meyers, Adam Meyers, Chelsei McBee of Lawrence; step-daughters; Mary Carpenter, Claire Carpenter of Wichita, Meggie Honeycutt of Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers memorial have been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS and Ronald McDonald Houses, 1110 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS.
